DATE NIGHT DETAILS /// How to Wear Your LBD Dress At Work

When it comes to dressing up (or down) for nights out, I’m a big proponent of wearing what makes you feel your best. It doesn’t have to be overtly sexy, it just has to feel like you. I’m all about classic and comfortable sophistication, so I tend to go for black dresses. It's no secret that I have always been a proponent of investment pieces that stand the test of time.

It's no secret that I have always been a proponent of investment pieces that stand the test of time. This particular black dress is my go-to for special events as it can be styled in different ways for different occasions. Today, I am showing how to switch a classic LBD (little black dress) and turn it into a work appropriate look. Of course, this look is not for an everyday casual work outfit but I tend to wear this look at work during office cocktail parties and events.
For this particular day look, I opted for a pair of great knee ankle boots paired with an off the shoulder black maxi dress and an oversized cotton shirt to give the look a more structured and oversized look. And to finish the look, jewelry is one of my go to ways to elevate any look because adds just the right amount of elegance.
At the moment, I’m loving chunky necklaces and more delicate rings that bring a little bit of shine to my outfits. You always want your jewelry to complement your look at work. I covered my neckline with a white scarf so layering a black and white chunky necklace really brings this outfit to life and gives it a unique sense of dimension. If you’re more into clean elegance, keep a monochromatic color scheme – like silvers and white golds to keep your look feeling chic and put together. It’s a super sleek complement to a layered look. Pair it with a soft pink lip for a perfectly kissable pout that's not too ostentatious.
It’s no secret that I have always been a proponent of investment pieces that stand the test of time, and your little black dress is definitely one of those items. Choose a dress that is not too exposed so it has a cost per wear value. What are your favorite ways to style your favourite LBD dress ? Are you more of a blazer girl or a shoe connoisseur?
