    Banana & Almond Butter on Toast



      Banana and Almond Butter Toast is a simple breakfast meal or even, an afternoon snack that's quick, easy and ohh so yummy! 


    Overview

    This breakfast option couldn't be simpler, but it packs lots of nutritional value with each bite. This isn't an actual recipe, since there is no cooking involved. Serious, you don't have to turn on your stove  to create a yummy meal. It combines some of my favourite flavours and is packed with protein and healthy fats to get my body fuelled for a full day. All you need is some toasted whole what bread, a few spoonfuls of almond butter, a ripe banana and a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds. In the morning, I pair it with a smoothie for breakfast and in the afternoon, eat it with a mixed berries. I just cannot get sick of how deliciously rich this recipe is. 




    Healthy Benefits:

    Bananas are delicious, full of potassium and naturally free of sodium, fat and cholesterol. Meanwhile, almond butter contains healthy unsaturated fats that are good for your heart. Monounsaturated fats are the type of fats that reduce cholesterol and decrease the risk of heart disease. The 100% rye bread gives you your daily dose of finer for a healthy digestive system. I would recommend purchasing 100% whole wheat bread first and then switching to Rye bread. 

    Lat but not least, this breakfast option is packed with potassium, fibre, and protein and contains only 200 calories.





    Get started:

    Pop the bread in the toaster, spread with almond butter, top with sliced bananas. Next, get creative and add toppings on top of the banana slices. Finally, I add pomegranate seeds, raspberries, blueberries and almond slices.
